Our Mision

Since 2010, Movilfest has been committed to transforming the world through creativity and technology. Founded by Sandra González, an internationally recognized producer and creative director, Movilfest was born as the first mobile film and arts festival, created to discover and promote talent through mobile devices, democratizing their use as an inclusive artistic medium.

Sandra Glez, who signs as Bysan, discovered her passion for event production in Ibiza, where she was introduced to the industry through Pacha Ibiza Club. She later moved to Tenerife, gaining national recognition in television and eventually overseeing Antena 3 TV’s programs in the Canary Islands. In 2000, she transformed the César Manrique Maritime Park into a premier cultural destination.

In 2006, she launched her own creative brand, collaborating with a global team on artistic projects across Miami, Madrid, Budapest, Havana, and Dakar.  As a designer and brand curator, she has been the creative force behind the direction and design of Movilfest since its inception. Her passion for digital storytelling and mobile technology led her to found Movilfestawards in 2010, pioneering the use of smartphones as tools for artistic and creative expression.

Currently, she works as a brand curator, advising brands and entrepreneurs on creating cohesive and impactful brand identities, ensuring that art and storytelling remain at the core of digital experiences. 

In 2025, Movilfest embarks on a new chapter under the co-direction of Jesús Sánchez, establishing itself as a non-profit institution with the goal of expanding its social and cultural impact. This transformation reinforces its commitment to democratizing talent, digital education, and equitable access to artistic creation through mobile technology.

Since its founding in 2010 by Sandra Glez, Movilfest has evolved into an international reference point for connecting, training, and awarding mobile creators. Now, with this rebirth, the institution broadens its reach with programs focused on inclusion, education, and digital sustainability, ensuring that technological tools remain accessible to all, without economic or geographical barriers.

The importance of Movilfest lies in its ability to transform lives through art, innovation, and mobile technology. In a world where two-thirds of the population are still not connected, Movilfest continues to build bridges so that anyone, anywhere, can tell their story and showcase their talent. Its mission goes beyond a festival; it is a global cultural movement that creates opportunities, fosters digital education, and promotes an inclusive creative revolution.

In response to technological advancements and their growing impact on society, Movilfest has introduced a new category dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI). This addition acknowledges the digital transformation and the crucial role AI plays in creativity, audiovisual production, and artistic innovation. Through this category, Movilfest aims to explore the new languages and possibilities that AI brings to creative expression, while also reflecting on its impact on art, education, and society as a whole.

Additionally, Movilfest provides businesses and services with the opportunity to integrate its philosophy through collaboration programs, training, and digital development initiatives. This allows companies to align their strategies with values of accessibility, innovation, and social responsibility, actively contributing to building a more just and equitable world through mobile technology.
