RIGHTS TRANSFER AND USE OF WORKS SUBMITTED TO MOVILFEST
This document aims to provide clear and accessible information about the rights that creators grant to ASOCIACION MOVIL FIRST, hereinafter Movilfest, located at C/ Camino de la Vereda N° 35, C.P. 38109, La Esperanza – El Rosario (STA CRUZ DE TENERIFE), CIF: G76707835, and registered in the National Registry of Associations: Section: 1, National Number: 611918, when submitting their audiovisual works to the festival or any of its related activities.
1. WHAT RIGHTS DOES THE AUTHOR GRANT WHEN SUBMITTING THEIR WORK?
A non-exclusive, royalty-free, international, and indefinite license.
Movilfest may reproduce, screen, distribute, publicly communicate, and adapt the work, always within the scope of its cultural, educational, promotional, or professional activities.
2. WHAT USES CAN MOVILFEST MAKE OF THE WORKS?
• Screenings at in-person or virtual festivals.
• Inclusion in itinerant showcases, exhibitions, or educational activities.
• Distribution via social media, website, publications, media outlets, and other promotional formats.
3. WILL ANY FINANCIAL COMPENSATION BE PROVIDED?
No. Participation is voluntary. No compensation is foreseen for the exhibition, selection, or use of the works in any festival-related materials.
4. WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES DOES THE AUTHOR HAVE?
• Ensure they hold the usage rights for all elements present in the work (music, images, scripts, people, etc.).
• Assume full legal responsibility for any third-party claims related to copyright or image rights infringement.
5. WHAT HAPPENS WITH WORKS CONTAINING SENSITIVE CONTENT?
Movilfest will not accept works that promote violence, hatred, homophobia, racism, or animal cruelty.
Strong or explicit content is allowed only if it clearly serves a social denunciation or educational purpose.
6. CAN I WITHDRAW MY WORK ONCE IT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED?
Yes, you may request the withdrawal of your work by writing to hello@movilfestinstitution.org.
However, if the work has already been selected, screened, or published, Movilfest reserves the right to retain archival records for documentation purposes.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
Submitting a work to Movilfest implies full acceptance of these rights and usage conditions.
